Napoli vs. Lazio Highlights Serie A Action

Sep 18, 2015 by Alex Baker

Fresh from its 5-0 thrashing of Club Brugge in the Europa League Napoli will host Lazio in Serie A at 4:30pm ET Sunday (watch live on beIN Sports). The win over Brugge came as a welcome respite for the Neapolitan outfit that’s started its season with a loss and two draws.

After beating Bologna 2-1 in its season opener, Lazio suffered a dispiriting 4-0 loss to Chievo before blanking Udinese 2-0 last week.

If Napoli is to come away with its first Serie A win of the season, the man to watch will be Gonzalo Higuain, who has eight goals in four previous appearances against Lazio.

Balotelli Looking for First AC Milan Goal
After a disappointing loss to Inter last week, Milan welcomes an unbeaten Palermo side to the San Siro this Sunday. Milan will be without Jeremy Menez, M’Baye Niang and Andrea Bertolacci for the clash.

One player it will have is Mario Balotelli. Currently in his second stint at the club, the on-loan Liverpool striker is still looking for his first goal since his return to AC Milan. But with five goals in three previous appearances against Palermo, it’s the club he’s scored the most against in Serie A and Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic will be hoping that Balotelli is in the mood.

Juventus Seeking First Win
While it’s been nothing but doom and gloom in Serie A for Juventus, Tuesday’s 2-1 away win against Manchester City in the Champions League brought a welcome injection of belief to the Scudetto holders.

While on paper, Genoa should he easy pickings for a side like Juve, the Rossoblu has an ace in the hold in the form of Goran Pandev, the only player to score two braces against Juventus – one at Lazio and one at Napoli.

Roma Host Sassuolo After Barça Draw
Fresh from its spirited draw with Barcelona in the Champions League, Roma welcome Sassuolo to the Olympic Stadium on Sunday. Unbeaten in Serie A this season, Roma will hope to continue its momentum and extend its six-point lead over title-holders Juventus.

But that will mean having to stop Sassuolo’s Antonio Floro Flore. The red-hot striker has three goals in three Serie A appearances this season. Roma will also be without goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny who’s been ruled out for six weeks with an injured finger.
