Creed – Sylvester Stallone gives an Academy Award-nominated performance reprising his role as Rocky Balboa alongside Michael B. Jordan, who plays Adonis Johnson, the son of Rocky’s former opponent-turned-manager, Apollo Creed. Adonis, who wants desperately to follow in his father’s footsteps, seeks out Rocky and asks the retired champion to train him for his shot at a boxing title.
The Night Before – Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are reunited and joined by Anthony Mackie (Captain America) as three best friends who have a long-standing tradition of gathering on Christmas Eve to celebrate the holidays. As Isaac (Rogen) is about to become a first-time father, the gang realizes their tradition is coming to an end. To make the most out of their last celebration together, they hit the streets of New York to find the number one party in the city: the Nutcracka Ball.
The Danish Girl – Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne stars as artist Einar Wegener, the first person to undergo a sex change operation. Alicia Vikander won an Oscar for her role as Gerda, Einar’s loving and supporting wife.
Legend – Academy Award-nominee Tom Hardy stars as the smooth, charming and unstable Kray twins, Ronnie and Reggie. With violence as their main tool of persuasion, the twins conduct robberies and murders while running nightclubs and protection rackets in London.
