Better Call Saul: Last week’s episode tied up the Wormald storyline in a rather amusing fashion, but it also had Kim declaring in no uncertain terms she has no interest in being Slippin’ Jimmy’s running partner. It’s not clear what kind of case work might be next for James McGill, Esq., but knowing what we know about what his future holds, it’s fair to say even Kim won’t be enough to stop him, and whatever it is, it will be both hilarious and heartbreaking.(10pm Monday, AMC)
NCAA on ESPN - Kansas at University of Texas: It’s the penultimate game of the season for these Big 12 foes. The Jayhawks are coming off a 66-60 win over Baylor in which the team collectively shot .500 from the floor as Frank Mason led the way making seven of 11 for 19 points. It was Kansas’ eighth win in a row, making them 24-4 while Texas has struggled since cracking the top 25, losing three of five and barely squeaking past Kansas State last Monday. (6pm Monday, ESPN U)
The Omen (1976): After forty years, three sequels, and one shot-by-shot remake, A&E will resurrect this classic horror franchise when Damien premieres on March 7, following the season premiere of Bates Motel. The new series will pick up in the present day, after the events of the Academy Award-winning original, starring Gregory Peck (To Kill a Mockingbird) and Lee Remick (Anatomy of a Murder) as the unfortunate parents of the Antichrist. (10pm Monday, A&E)
American Dad: Just a friendly reminder that new episodes of Seth MacFarlane’s other animated comedy are only on TBS, not Fox. Not since 2014. (8:30pm Monday, TBS)
Tuesday March 1
Super Tuesday: Three senators, a doctor, a governor, a former Secretary of State (plus senator and First Lady), and a billionaire reality TV star: one of these seven people will become the next leader of the free world. With so many delegates up for grabs, tune in to CNN to find out whose face might someday be on your grandchildren’s money. (Coverage begins at 6pm Tuesday, CNN)
Fit to Fat to Fit: Personal trainers deliberately gain weight to better understand the struggles of their overweight clients. That, plus “I’m doing this for TV” is one of the few socially acceptable reasons to eat an entire cake. (10pm Tuesday, A&E)
NCAA on ESPN 2 - Baylor at Oklahoma: Baylor made a little noise two weeks ago with back-to-back wins over then-ranked #13 Iowa State and #24 Texas before making Kansas come from behind for a 66-60 win. Baylor now must close out the regular season against Oklahoma and West Virginia, which is sure to be a nice gut check ahead of the tournament. After being ranked number one three weeks in a row, the Sooners stumbled, losing to Kansas and Texas Tech, but appear to have gotten back on track. (5pm Tuesday, ESPN 2)
Wednesday March 2
Hap & Leonard: Rome’s James Purefoy, The Wire’s Michael K. Williams, and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks star in the series premiere of this darkly comic, ’80s “swamp noir” based on the novels of the same name. It’s Pulp Fiction meets True Blood, minus the vampires. (10pm Wednesday, SundanceTV)
NBA on ESPN - Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles Clippers: Barring catastrophe, Oklahoma City is comfortably entrenched as the third seed in the West as Kevin Durant is unquestionably playing at 100 percent following last year’s injury. Russell Westbrook has upped his game to the point some are suggesting the once unthinkable – he’s “better than Durant.” A year after a major playoffs upset, the Clippers now find themselves closing in on securing the fourth seed in the West, but they must do so without the services of Blake Griffin, who’s still nursing a hand broken on the face of the team’s assistant equipment manager. They’ve played .750 ball without him, but at some point his absence is bound to be an issue. (10:30pm Wednesday, ESPN)
Thursday March 3
Vikings: Rollo is still trying to impress his new wife in France while Ragnar is struggling with what to do with Floki, who receives bad news from his wife. Bjorn continues his quest to prove he can survive in the wilderness as Lagartha and Kalf become closer than ever. (10pm Thursday, HISTORY)
NBA on TNT - Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors: After battling the fourth-best team in their conference, the Thunder must fly north to face the best team in the universe: the Golden State Warriors. Heading into last weekend, the Warriors had not had fewer than five wins between any of their losses. Durant/Westbrook vs. Curry/Green could be a great one. (10:30pm Thursday, TNT)
Friday March 4
NBA on ESPN - Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers: The Wizards need to put the pedal down if they want to grab the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. A .500 team in mid-January, they’ve been taking on water ever since. The Cavaliers have a lot to prove for a team that leads their conference. Interestingly enough, the only division against which the Cavs have won fewer than 70 percent of their games is their own, going just 5-5. Familiarity breeds contempt, maybe? (8pm Friday, ESPN)
Saturday March 5
NCAA on ESPN - North Carolina at Duke: It’s a rematch of one of the most exciting games of the season: when Duke made a second-half comeback to win 74-73 with a last-ditch UNC jumper being blocked with five seconds to play. It’s also the regular season finale for each team, as they prepare for what they hope will be a deep run in the tournament. (3:30pm Saturday, ESPN)
America’s Choice 2016: Depending on who stays in the race after Super Tuesday, the results of Saturday’s primaries and caucuses could solidify leads for both parties. Kansas, Louisiana (both R and D), Kentucky, Maine ®, and Nebraska (D) head to the polls. (All-day coverage begins at 9am, CNN)
Sunday March 6
The Walking Dead: Rick and his fellow Alexandrians might have made a deadly deal by offering to protect the Hilltop Colony from the Saviors in exchange for food and supplies. As Maggie said, “It’s going to cost us something.” (9pm Sunday, AMC)
Vinyl: Richie Finestra has a lot on his plate as this show moves from its “big-hype pilot” rhythm to its “steady-rocking weekly TV series” rhythm: He’s just signed a proto-punk band, his wife and his partners are unhappy with his decision to kill the PolyGram deal, and the guy he killed has just been found by the police. On the bright side, The Moody Blues are unhappy with their royalty rate. (9pm Sunday, HBO)
Girls: Shoshanna is back in Japan, thriving at her job and flirting with her boss despite still having a “sort of” boyfriend back home. Meanwhile, Adam and Jessa watch his latest acting gig on TV and Hannah and Fran run into problems after Hannah goes snooping through his phone. (10pm Sunday, HBO)
NCAA on ESPNU - Golden State at Los Angeles: The best team in the NBA continues its quest to be crowned the winningest team in NBA history and Steph Curry tries to become just the 30th man in league history to average 30 points in a season. In sharp contrast, the Lakers are heading toward the worst season in franchise history as Kobe Bryant continues his goodbye tour. (12:30pm Sunday, ESPN)
