The Boilermakers, 19-4 overall and 7-3 in the Big Ten, are playing for the first time since Saturday’s 89-74 win over Nebraska, in which senior center A.J. Hammons scored 32 on 14-of-17 shooting, adding 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks – the points and assists representing career highs. Purdue is 0-2 against ranked opponents, as they head into a stretch of four games out of six against top 25 teams.

The Terps are 20-3, 9-2 in the Big Ten, and currently riding a three-game winning streak, most recently getting past Nebraska 70-65, on a night when 6'11" freshman Diamond Stone scored 16 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked 8 shots. Maryland’s leading scorer and dime-dropper this year has been sophomore guard Melo Trimble with 14.8 points and 5.3 assists. The Terrapins have been ranked no lower than 8th all season, but are just 1-2 against top 25 teams.
