NCAA Basketball on Sling TV: #13 Iowa State vs #25 Baylor

Feb 16, 2016 by Scott Ross

In January, the Iowa State Cyclones looked like they were gonna be a major factor when March Madness rolled around, defeating then-number one Oklahoma and then-number four Kansas within eight days of each other. But since then, they’ve lost three of five. On Saturday, however, they defeated #24 Texas, 85-75, as Wooden Award contender Georges Niang and teammate Monte Morris led all scorers with 24 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists apiece. The Cyclones are 18-7, 7-5 in the Big 12.

The Baylor Bears have lost three of their last four, most recently falling to Texas Tech 84-66 on Saturday. Though Baylor controlled the boards 31-22, Texas Tech was shooting the lights out, making 26 of 45, including nine of 16 from three. Despite the brutal Big 12 schedule, the Bears have outscored their opponents by 9.2 points a game, out-rebounded by 8.5 boards a game, and are 18-7 overall, 7-5 in conference play.

Watch the Iowa State Cyclones vs. the Baylor Bears at 9pm ET Tuesday on ESPN 2.
