Gloria Steinem, who is widely known for being a leading of the feminist movement since the late 1960s, has a new show coming to Viceland, called Woman. Much like a lot of Viceland’s content, this show will be a documentary-style series focusing on gender-based violence that occurs around the world and how it drives instability in communities. Despite his history at HBO and with Martin Scorsese, Vinyl showrunner Terrence Winter has been let go over “creative differences.” In his place, they’ve named Scott Z. Burns, who is already a feature writer on the series, as the executive producer/showrunner with Max Borenstein serving as an EP, too. Winter’s previous HBO projects included Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos, and he partnered with Scorsese on Oscar-nominated The Wolf of Wall Street. Deadline
It may be the beginning of the end for Fox’s comedy series Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life. While the network hasn’t announced an official cancellation of the underperforming series, it has been replaced by a Simpsons encore showing for April 24th as well as missing the following week due to the American Country Countdown Awards.
