Over the years, So You Think You Can Dance (aka SYTYCD) has changed its format several times – crowning two winners, pitting stage dancers vs street dancers, the All-Stars season, etc – but this season brings the biggest shakeup yet: changing the age limit from 18-30 to 8-13, giving us So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation.

Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll premieres tonight for it’s second season, starring (and written by) Denis Leary along with John Corbett, Bobby Kelly, John Ales, Elizabeth Gillies, and Elaine Hendrix.
At the end of season one, The Assassins were going through a rough patch with Gigi (Gillies) breaking up with Flash (Corbett) and Bam Bam and Rehab turning their talents to create music’s newest sensation, BeastCore. While it seems BeastCore was – for better or for worse – a short lived phenomenon, season two has promise of other interesting musical adventures and explorations brought to light by the electric duo.

Jake Weary is no stranger to the TV world with recurring roles on Pretty Little Liars and Chicago Fire in the past. But now, he’s taking on a whole new animal as one of the stars of TNT’s big summer show, Animal Kingdom.
Weary plays Deran, the youngest son in a criminal family with a bad attitude and a lot to prove. He struggles with being the youngest, his older brothers taking him seriously, and hiding an important secret from his entire family.
In short, Animal Kingdom isn’t what you’re used to seeing on TNT – it’s daring, edgy and, to be frank, raises TNT’s dramatic bar quite a bit higher than, say, Rizzoli & Isles.

I’ve been a dancer all my life – I even have a rather useless degree in it (useless for me, not useless in general)! I’ve experienced coaches putting bottle caps in the heels of my shoes point-end up to ensure I would stay on my toes; I knew girls who had rulers or Popsicle sticks taped to the back of their legs so they stayed straight, and suffered their ballet teacher marking the knees of their (expensive!) tights with a giant red ‘X’ in Sharpie when they didn’t have enough turnout. Being a child dancer is hard, but most kids have no issue putting up with the borderline abusive coaches if it means they not only get to dance but constantly be pushed to reach their potential… and then some.... In 1999, four high school friends formed a live comedy troupe called The Tenderloins. Now, 17 years later, those same guys star in their own show that’s close to wrapping up its fifth season on truTV called Impractical Jokers.
