NCAA Basketball on Sling TV: #20 Duke vs #5 North Carolina
Since an 80-69 loss to Miami, Duke has been won four in a row, including victories last week over #13 Louisville and #7 Virginia. Brandon Ingram led the scoring against Virginia, dropping 25 on the Cavaliers, but it was Grayson Allen who was the hero, scoring the final two of his 15 points on a last-second jumper for a 63-62 win. The Blue Devils are 19-6, 8-4 in the ACC.
The North Carolina Tar Heels jumped four spots this week, from number nine to number five, but it’s unclear what they did to deserve it. Yes, they went 2-0 last week to run their record to 21-4 overall and at 10-2 atop the ACC, but it was against a terrible Boston College team, and a just okay Providence team – these are games a team like UNC should win.
The Tar Heels lead this historic rivalry 133-107, but the Blue Devils have won 10 of the last 13. Regardless of the outcome of this latest chapter, we can all look forward to a rematch in the final game of the regular season on March 5.
Watch the Duke Blue Devils vs. the North Carolina Tar Heels at 9pm ET Wednesday on ESPN.
