Colm Meaney (Hell of Wheels) has joined the cast for Will, a scripted show from TNT about William Shakespeare in his 20s. The show centers around young Shakespeare and his arrival into the world of 16th century theatre in London, where he faces rioting audiences and religious fanatics. Meany will play James Burbage, a carpenter with a vision to build the first theatre in London since the Roman era that becomes so famous it’s only referred to as The Theatre. (Deadline)
Joining A&E’s already extensive reality prison shows is a new docuseries called 60 Days In. The series is meant to expose the wrongdoings and corrupt behavior happening inside of Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Seven innocent people go undercover at Clark County Jail, which houses 500 inmates from first time drug dealers to murderers. 60 Days In is set to premiere March 10. (New York Daily News)
Cheers to Khloe Kardashian for finding something to do separate from the rest of the Kardashian clan. FYI has nearly tripled its original order of Kocktails with Khloe by ordering 15 additional episodes of the new talk show. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, considering it was the highest-rated series premiere in network history with the next two episodes giving the network its highest-ranked digital viewing days on record. Former Sons of Anarchy producers are working together on a series adaptation Lawrence In Arabia for HBO. The series is based off of Scott Anderson’s novel, Lawrence In Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly And The Making of The Modern Middle East. This is the first project under the overall deal the father-son duo signed with HBO. (Deadline)
Once Upon A Time creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have tapped into some of the show’s past guest roles to fill casting slots for the upcoming Freeform horror series Dead of Summer. Elizabeth Mitchell and Elizabeth Lail are set to play reoccuring roles in the new series, both of whom were cast as Ingrid and Anna in the Frozen season of Once. (Dealine)

HISTORY’s remake of the classic 1977 miniseries Roots has been slotted for a Memorial Day premiere, and will air over four consecutive nights. The series, an adaptation of Alex Haley’s historical novel about American slavery, stars Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Anna Paquin, Anika Noni Rose, and newcomer Malachi Kirby as Kunta Kinte, and will be simulcast on A&E and Lifetime.
