Louis CK and his Louie costar Pamela Adlon are developing a show for Adlon in a similar autobiographical vein to Louie entitled better things, in which Adlon plays an single mom and actress trying to get by. Titled Better Things, the series has added Patricia Scanlon to the cast, most recently seen in HBO’s comedy Getting On. (Deadline)
The long-gestating Tales from the Crypt revival from producer M. Night Shyamalan has recieved a 10-episode series order from TNT, and is set to be paired with another horror-anthology series titled Time of Death, which looks to be a cross between 24 and American Horror Story, taking a full season to tell a single horror story in real time. John C. McGinley (Scrubs) is set to star in a brand new IFC comedy-horror series called Stan Against Evil, which follows Stanley Miller, an angry police sheriff who has his eyes opened to the very angry demons haunting his small New Hampshire town. Deadline
Disney Channel has announced a new Original Movie coming soon to their catalog. The Swap will star Disney veterans Peyton List and Jacob Bertrand and is based off of a novel of the same name and is a body-switching comedy. This announcement comes in the wake of Disney Channel announcing its celebration plans around the release of their 100th Original Movie. Deadline
FX has set summer premiere dates for Tyrant and the new Denis Leary comedy, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, with the former premiering on July 6th and the later premiering June 30. Deadline
Right as season two of HISTORY’s survival show Alone airs, the network has announced it will be making a return for season three. Deadline
Lifetime has announced a slew of new projects, including movie projects with Ronda Rousey, Serena Williams and Janet Jackson as well as a new drama executive produced by Selena Gomez about her life, which will also have Kevin Spacey as an EP, too. Deadline
The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus’ new biker reality series on AMC has been given a premiere date of June 12. The show focuses on Reedus riding on his motorcycle across the country with guests like Peter Fonda, and exploring biker culture in different corners of the States. Deadline
Surprising no one, HBO has renewed Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley for more seasons ahead of this weekend’s premieres for all three shows. Deadline
TBS has set the premiere date for the second season of gag-comedy Angie Tribeca for June 12 with James Franco returning as a guest star along with a ton of new guests, like Busy Phillips, Joe Jonas, Maya Rudolph and Heather Graham. Deadline
Comedy fans rejoice: HBO’s massively influential half-hour sketch-comedy classic Mr. Show with Bob and David is finally coming to HBO’s streaming services and everywhere else that streams HBO’s library (like Sling TV). Featuring David Cross and Bob Odenkirk, who have both gone on to huge success with Arrested Development and Better Call Saul respectively, Mr. Show also featured the talents of future legends Sarah Silverman, Paul F. Tompkins, John Ennis, Mary Lou Rajskub, and Tom Kenny, not to mentioning launching a little duo called Tenacious D.

Community and Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon’s Starburns Industries has scored a development order with FX for sketch group Extremely Decent’s half-hour kids’ show spoof Happy City. Harmon’s track record is solid, but we’re not familiar with Extremely Decent, except for the below video, which we can’t help but love:
The bad news: True Blood dreamboat Joe Manganiello has left Peter Berg’s scripted HISTORY action drama Six, which follows the famed Navy Seal Team on missions that may or may not include the one that ended with Osama Bin Laden being dumped in the Indian Ocean. The good news: Justified and Hateful Eight star Walton Goggins, who makes up for his lack of Mangianellitude with a double helping of verbal acuity, is stepping in. (Deadline)
Standup comic and 2 Broke Girls creator Whitney Cummings’ HBO project A Lot, which appears to take inspiration from material in her recent special I’m Your Girlfriend – specifically the parts about the challenges of dating when you’re a woman with money – has added Lucy Punch, Brett Goldstein, Jen Tullock, and Krystal Smith to its cast. AMC’s undead spinoff Fear the Walking Dead, which began its second season two weeks ago, has been renewed for a third. The show’s series orders seem to be metastasizing faster than the virus that wiped out humanity; after a 6-episode first season and a 15-episode order for the second, the third is set to run 16, leaving a scant 20 Sundays a year without zombies feeding on human flesh.
