WATCH: Sling TV CEO Roger Lynch gets “infected,” AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead-style
We’re not only passionate about bringing you the best live and on-demand TV experiences, we’re also passionate followers of the shows, too. Just like many of you, we’re fanatical about AMC shows, including The Walking Dead. That’s why we wanted to give you an insider’s view of AMC’s brand new series, Fear the Walking Dead, before it airs this Sunday.
AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, the companion series to The Walking Dead, is set in Los Angeles at the beginning of the apocalypse. We’re so excited about the new series that we worked with KNB EFX Group to create an exclusive sneak preview of the scariest characters on the show – the infected. And we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the premiere than morphing our own CEO, Roger Lynch, into a member of the infected.
KNB EFX Group has been an award-winning make-up effects powerhouse in Hollywood for 25 years, so we knew Roger would be in good hands. Specializing in character prosthetics, animatronics, creatures creation and replica animals, Greg Nicotero and Howard Berger have over 800 feature film and television credits to their name, including Inglourious Basterds, Breaking Bad, Predators, Hitchcock, The Green Mile, Sin City and AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead, to name a few. Roger met with KNB’s makeup artist Andy Schoneberg to be transformed into an infected person from Fear the Walking Dead and to learn more about the upcoming AMC series.
Check out the short video below for a behind-the-scenes look at Roger’s hour-long makeover and don’t forget to tune in to the new series premiere of Fear the Walking Dead live on AMC Sunday, August 23 at 9|8c, or on demand with Sling TV.
Infected make ups realized and designed at KNB by Greg Nicotero.
