The Oscars on Sling TV
The 88th Annual Academy Awards will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles with host Chris Rock and a strong slate of Best Picture nominees that includes BRIDGE OF SPIES, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, THE MARTIAN, SPOTLIGHT, and THE REVENANT.
Certain Sling TV subscribers will be able to watch the show with the $5 Broadcast Extra add-on package, which includes local ABC, Univision, and UniMás affiliates. Thanks to the complex web of contracts and agreements that is the TV universe, we’re only able to offer Broadcast Extra to Sling subscribers whose local affiliates are owner-operated. If you are a current Sling TV subscriber and live in one of the above markets, you can add the Broadcast Extra to your current package: Just sign in to your Sling TV account via your computer and select ‘Change subscription,’ then click the ‘Add’ button beside Broadcast Extra. To finalize your addition, click ‘Review,’ then ‘Submit Order.’
