And so it comes down to this.
As the regular college football season winds down and the playoffs gear up, #7 Stanford at #24 USC will battle it out for the second time this season to claim the Pac-12 title.
In their first meeting this season, the then-ranked #6 Trojans fell to the then-unranked Cardinal in an upsetting 41-31 loss. Stanford carried the momentum of that upset forward, as they went on to beat every team they played until a surprising 38-36 loss to the Oregon Ducks – their second surprise this season after losing their opener to Northwestern 16-6.
The Trojans, on the other hand, went the other way after Stanford handed them their first loss of the season, losing to Washington (17-12), Notre Dame (31-41), and... Read More

It’s time. The week we’ve all been waiting for. The week our favorite team goes up against our least favorite team in a fight for the ultimate prize: 12 months of bragging rights. We’re taking a closer look at some of the best matchups we’re thankful for during Thanksgiving weekend.
#22 UCLA at USC(1:30pm ET Saturday, ESPN)
Though the Bruins (8-3) are ranked and the Trojans (7-4) are not, this classic rivalry game, which marks the the 85th meeting between the two SoCal teams, will decide the Pac-12 division. How’s that for stakes?
Last year, UCLA reached their biggest point gap last year in their win over USC for the first time since 1986, which was an elimination game for the Trojans, too. USC has failed to take away... Read More

It’s no surprise USC and Oregon – both of whom are used to being the among the best – have managed to claw their way into the last few ranking spots in the last half of the season. Both teams are heading into Saturday’s game with matching 7-3 records, and both are coming off of a four-game winning streak.
These teams are pretty equal in a lot of ways: Not only are both teams looking for their 8th win, but the loser will likely fall out of the Top 25, making #22 USC at #23 Oregon a pretty important game for the Trojans and Ducks.
Both teams have gone through their fair share of turmoil this season: Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. was out earlier in the year with... Read More

We are four weeks deep into college football season and it’s safe to say this season has been anything but ordinary so far. From devastating injuries, like #3 TCU losing six of its starters, to major upsets, like Ole Miss topping Alabama, every week has been a tossup. The one thing that seems unnervingly consistent is: no matter the ranking or what happened last week, anything is possible. A seemingly slow fourth week is chock-full of upset potential, like #19 USC vs. Arizona State University.
On the surface, it would appear that the Trojans would destroy the Sun Devils without breaking much of a sweat, but it would be silly – nay, idiotic – to rule Arizona State out just yet. Yes, they are unranked, but so was Stanford last... Read More
