March Madness on Sling TV: Sweet 16
We’re getting down to the wire – it’s just a little over a week left until the 2016 NCAA champion is crowned. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves; we still have the sweet, sweet, Sweet 16 the indulge in this weekend before we know who will be facing off next weekend for the Final Four.
3 Texas A&M vs. #2 Oklahoma
Texas A&M clawed their way into the Sweet 16 after being down 12 with 44 seconds to play, they came storming back to tie Northern Iowa before going on to win 92-88 in double overtime. The Sooners managed to hold VCU at bay thanks to the hot hand of leading scorer Buddy Hield, who hit 11 of 20 for 36 points, while grabbing seven rebounds. (7:37 pm ET, TBS)
4 Duke vs. #1 Oregon
The Duke Blue Devils let the Yale Bulldogs get a little closer than they would’ve liked, but managed to hold on to win 71-64, ending the 12-seed’s Cinderella run thanks to sophomore Grayson Allen’s 29-point effort. The Ducks trailed the Saint Joseph’s Hawks by seven with 5:33 to play before going on an 18-6 run to seal a victory. (10:07pm ET, TBS)
