HGTV’s America’s Most Desperate Kitchens Premieres Wednesday
Cousins John Colaneri and Anthony Carrino have a new mission: surprise overhauls of the worst kitchens in the country. To do that, they solicited hundreds of videos from families all over the country—some of whom who still don’t know to shoot video horizontally on their phone. (But that’s another show.)

“We design (kitchens) in 90 percent of the renovations that we do,” Colaneri told Atlanta Magazine. “The kitchen is the most complicated and functional room in the house.”
If the cousins' names sound familiar, that might be because they also starred in HGTV’s and DIY Network’s Cousins Undercover, Cousins on Call, and Kitchen Cousins.
The cousins' new show will take them all across the country to places such as California, Tennessee and Texas for the surprise makeovers. The families that submitted videos asking for help don’t know they were selected until the cousins show up.
“Kitchens are the heart of the home,” Carrino said.
